My Dear fellow Rotarians,
It’s my pleasure and privilege to pen this message as your District Governor on the occasion of the Installation of Rtn Lasika Jayamaha as the 56th President of Rotary club of Colombo North.
Our RI President has given us the appropriate theme for the year 2023/2024 “Create Hope in the World” Without hope nothing can be accomplished.
Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves. Let our service and unity help to “Create Hope in The
World”

Dear Fellow Rotarians,
As our club steps into the 56th year of serving the community, I thank you all for the opportunity and the trust placed in me to lead the club for the year 2023/2024.
The last few years have been challenging globally as well as nationally with the Easter Attack followed by a pandemic, conflicts and economic crisis. During this time, rapid advances in information and communication technology helped us to continue with our daily activities but at the same time it has made humans less interactive, isolated and confused. It is in this backdrop that we as Rotarians must strive to serve our communities and “Create Hope In The World” our theme for the new Rotary Year.
I am hopeful that our club together with our sponsoring Rotaract
and Interact clubs will work collectively toward achieving this goal
whilst fostering friendship and being there for each other.
HOPE is the light in the darkness, HOPE is to believe in oneself and
HOPE gives us strength and courage to move forward.
To the Colombo North family, let’s make this a year to remember!

Dear Fellow Rotarians,
As the term of the 55th President of Rotary Club of Colombo North comes to a close, I wish to record the many milestones achieved in spite of the period of unrest and the Global pandemic situation.
Though I am unable to mention individually each member who supported the club achieve its goals during my presidency, I extend my sincere gratitude to all of them for their support for the
successful conclusion of my Rotary Year.
I wish and pray for another successful year ahead and no doubt that Rtn. Lasika Jayamaha who is the daughter of one of the most Senior Past Presidents Rtn. Dulip Jayamaha will make the RCCN one of the best clubs in the District.
